Gymdesk builds all-in-one management software for membership-based fitness businesses. Founded in 2016 by Eran Galperin, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner who developed the product while working nights and weekends, the company sells a platform covering membership management, billing and payments, scheduling and business automation. Its customers include gyms, martial arts schools, yoga studios, gymnastics gyms and dance studios. The software is used by more than 3,000 gym owners worldwide.

The company is headquartered in Austin, Texas, and operates as a distributed team spanning the United States, Japan and England. It was initially bootstrapped and has since raised $32.5m in strategic growth investment. Technical work centres on SaaS platform development, gym and membership management software, billing and payments systems, and business automation.

The team includes martial arts students, former gym owners and technology professionals, and the product philosophy favours ease of use, flexibility and automation over complexity. The stated purpose of the software is to reduce the administrative burden on gym owners so they can spend more time training members and building their communities.
