Founded in 1997, the company employs more than 2,900 professionals and operates across around 100 countries, with its global headquarters in Guildford, UK, and its US headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Its work is organised through three subsidiaries: Ergomed Clinical Research, which delivers end-to-end clinical development services for demanding clinical projects; PrimeVigilance, which provides pharmacovigilance services; and ADAMAS Consulting, which handles GxP audit and consulting. A proprietary solution, Ergomed CARE™, supports patient-centric trial management. Services span Phase I–IV clinical trials, clinical trial management and patient-centric trial delivery.

The company has particular depth in oncology and rare diseases, having conducted more than 330 oncology studies and over 200 rare disease trials, and managed over 600 Phase I–IV clinical trials. Its pharmacovigilance operation processes more than 275,000 patient cases a year.
