WiFi Tribe

WiFi Tribe is a vetted global community for remote professionals, founded in 2016 by Diego Bejarano Gerke. The organisation began when Gerke invited seven internet strangers to his childhood home in Bolivia for its founding chapter; it now counts nearly 1,000 members drawn from 62 nationalities. Its purpose is to address the isolation of solo remote work while supporting career growth and human connection.

The core offering is Chapters: one-month immersive coliving and coworking retreats in destinations around the world, aimed at entrepreneurs, freelancers and remote workers. The company facilitates more than 40 chapters a year, pairing shared working environments with community life and travel. Membership is vetted, and the community operates globally, with Bolivia as its founding location.

Between chapters, members stay connected through a WiFi Tribe Slack community and a members-only app. The organisation describes itself as mission-driven, built on the belief that life was not meant to be lived in just one place, with an emphasis on career development alongside friendship and adventure. It operates across the remote work, coliving and coworking, travel and hospitality, and digital nomad sectors.
